A Himalayan hill station at 2,050m in the Kullu Valley, known for snow, adventure sports and pine forests
Manali sits at 2,050 metres on the banks of the Beas River in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu Valley. It works as both a hill station and a base for nearby attractions like Solang Valley, Rohtang Pass and the Atal Tunnel. Most of our packages start from Delhi or Chandigarh and run 3 to 6 nights, with Volvo coach or private car options.
Solang Valley, about 14 km from town, is the main spot for paragliding, zorbing and (in winter) skiing. Rohtang Pass at 3,978m and the Atal Tunnel are popular day trips for snow, though Rohtang stays closed from December to April. Closer to town you can visit Hadimba Temple, the Tibetan monasteries, Vashisht hot springs and Old Manali.
April to June brings pleasant 10–25°C weather and is the busiest season. December to February is best for snow and skiing, with temperatures often below freezing. We suggest avoiding July to September, when monsoon rain can trigger roadblocks and landslides.
Local food worth trying includes Himachali dishes like siddu, trout fish and dham, along with the cafes of Old Manali. Mall Road is the main market for woollen shawls, caps and handicrafts.
Every package includes hotel accommodation, daily breakfast and dinner, transfers and sightseeing as per the itinerary. Volvo packages cover return coach travel from Delhi; car packages use a private vehicle with driver for the full trip. Rohtang Pass permits, where needed, are arranged for you.
Itineraries can be adjusted for families, couples and groups. You can add nights in Shimla, Dharamshala or Dalhousie, upgrade hotels, or include extra activities. Call us with your dates and group size and we'll share a customised quote.
