Somnath & Dwarka temples, Gir Asiatic Lion safari, the white Rann of Kutch and Diu beaches — explore Gujarat on a curated tour from ₹11,000 per person.
Gujarat sits on India's west coast and honestly surprises most first-time visitors. One day you're standing barefoot on the marble floor of a 1,500-year-old temple, the next you're tracking lions through dry forest or watching the sun set over a salt desert so white it looks like snow.
It's the kind of place where Somnath and Dwarka pull in pilgrims by the thousands, Gir keeps the last Asiatic lions on the planet, and the Rann of Kutch turns into a moonlit wonderland every winter. Temples, wildlife, beaches and old walled cities, all in one trip.

Two of India's twelve Jyotirlinga shrines sit here. Somnath rises right off the Arabian Sea (don't miss the evening light-and-sound show), while Dwarka is believed to be Lord Krishna's ancient kingdom. Most people do both over two or three days.
Sasan Gir is the only place on earth where wild Asiatic lions still roam. A morning jeep safari through the forest gives you a real shot at spotting them, along with leopards, deer and over 300 bird species. Book your permit early, slots run out.
The white salt flats stretch to the horizon, and on a full-moon night the whole place glows. From November to February the Rann Utsav sets up tented camps with folk music, Kutchi food and craft stalls. It's touristy, sure, but worth every bit.
India's first UNESCO World Heritage City rewards anyone who wanders. Start early at Sabarmati Ashram, lose yourself in the old pols (clustered lanes) of the walled city, and swing by the carved Adalaj Stepwell on the way out. Mughal and colonial buildings sit side by side.
This little island union territory still feels Portuguese in places. Nagoa Beach is the one everyone heads to, but the old Diu Fort, St. Paul's Church and the quiet back lanes are what make people stay an extra day.
If you can time your trip with Navratri, do it. Nine nights of Garba dancing (now a UNESCO listing) is something else. Beyond that, look out for Bandhani tie-dye, Kutchi mirror embroidery, and a proper unlimited Gujarati thali at least once.

Answers to the most common questions from our travellers
If it's your first time, don't miss Somnath (one of the 12 Jyotirlingas) and Dwarka, the two big temple stops. Pair them with a lion safari at Sasan Gir and a night at the Rann of Kutch and you've already got a brilliant trip. Add Ahmedabad's old walled city, the Adalaj Stepwell, Jamnagar's Lakhota Fort and the island of Diu if you have a few extra days.
Aim for October to February. The winter weather is cool and comfortable, which makes a huge difference when you're temple-hopping or out on a safari. It's also when the Rann Utsav runs (November to February) and when Navratri lights up the whole state. Steer clear of May and June unless you don't mind 40°C-plus heat.
For Ahmedabad, Dwarka and Somnath, 4 to 5 days does the job nicely. Want to throw in Gir and Rajkot? Give it 5 to 6. And if you'd like the full sweep with Diu and Jamnagar too, set aside 6 to 7 days. We can stretch or trim any itinerary to match the time and budget you have.
Yes, the Exotic Gujarat package includes a night at Sasangir, which is the base for the Gir safari. One thing to know: safari permits are limited and book out fast, so the earlier you confirm, the better. We'll help you lock in the permits when you finalise the package. The safari fee itself is paid separately at government rates.
Of course. Nothing here is set in stone. Swap destinations in or out, bump the hotels up or down, change how many days you're travelling, or pick the specific things you want to do. Just give us a call, drop a WhatsApp or fill in the enquiry form, and we'll put together an itinerary that actually fits you.
Easiest is to call us on +91-9990060700, but WhatsApp, the enquiry form on our contact page, or an email to info@getwayindiaholidays.com all work just as well. We're around 24/7 if you're already on a tour, and 9 AM to 9 PM for new booking questions.
Gujarat doesn't always top everyone's India bucket list, and that's exactly why it's such a rewarding place to travel. You get ancient temples, lion country, salt deserts and one of India's most walkable heritage cities, usually without the crowds you'd find elsewhere. Whether you want a quiet Somnath-Dwarka pilgrimage or a full loop through Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Sasangir, Somnath and Diu, we'll sort out an itinerary that works for you.
The places people love most: Ahmedabad (India's first UNESCO World Heritage City), Somnath (the seaside Jyotirlinga), Dwarka (Lord Krishna's holy city), Sasan Gir (the only home of wild Asiatic lions), and Diu (a laid-back Portuguese island with good beaches). Every package comes with A/C car transport, hand-checked hotels, daily breakfast and guided sightseeing so you're not left figuring things out alone.
